Future Fibres CollaborAcademy aims to develop a syllabus for upskilling researchers and industry professionals for the kinds of interdisciplinary collaborative work needed within a circular and sustainable textiles ecosystem.
The project will enable doctoral students researchers from the environmental and materials sciences, textile and fashion design to come together and experience a site together, exploring their different perspectives, ways of communicating and opportunities for synergy.
The funding will enable doctoral research partners to visit different ‘research spaces’ which may include, for example, field, lab, factory, or studio visits. Drawing on team convening and experiential dialogue principles, student participants will explore and unearth the challenges and the opportunities within their collaboration.
The prototype CollaborAcademy syllabus will be presented to an industry and academic panel before refinements are made and the outcome is shared opensource within the FFN+ repository.
