A new report, ‘Accelerating the UK towards a circular fashion ecosystem‘ by CFIN (Circular Fashion Innovation Network) was published last week.

CFIN is an industry-led programme led by the British Fashion Council and UKFT Association in partnership with Innovate UK.  It aims to accelerate the UK towards a Circular Fashion Ecosystem and is part of the broader circular fashion programme that includes Network Plus.

Adam Mansell, CEO of the UK Fashion and Textile Association comments: “This report highlights how we’ve been working to bring the entire industry together to start building a circular fashion ecosystem here in the UK.  After a year, we’ve made some real progress and taken practical steps forward, but more importantly, we’ve brought together all parts of the supply chain“.

The interim report provides a current view, case studies and next steps in three areas:  circular business models, sustainable manufacturing and recycling infrastructure.  “These key areas underpin CFIN’s strategy to drive the UK fashion and textile sector to a more innovative, sustainable and economically vibrant future“, says Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council.
